Vibrating Wire Strain Gauge
A vibrating wire surface strain gauge for concrete and masonry, mounted on blocks with rebar anchors grouted into the structure.
DP44K-5
Overview
A steel wire tensioned between two mounting blocks changes frequency as the structure deforms. The wire is sealed in a stainless steel tube with O-ring seals, and an integral thermistor measures temperature at the gauge.
The gauge is read by the DP-LG3-VW8 Vibrating Wire Data Logger 8 Channel.
